At our September meeting we reviewed and discussed a number of issues which are of concern in our fellowship.
Junior Church. We reviewed our thoughts and proposals from July and confirmed them. We will take them to the Quarterly Church Meeting.
Elders Training. The programme will run on Tuesday evenings in the autumn and repeat on Monday evenings after the New Year.
Organist. We thought how we could support Sandy Christie more. We are fortunate to have Joan Marshall to play on occasion and have called on the services of June Reed during the summer. It would be valuable to have further music resources to call on and some possibilities will be investigated.
Mission Partnership. We noted two papers arising from the Partnership meeting in July and will discuss these in detail next time.
Church Development Project. Fred will prepare our mission statement support document for submission to Synod.
Sunday Service. We felt that the lighting of the candle was not being noticed appropriately. The duty Elder will draw attention to the lighting of the candle and request quietness in preparation for the start of our worship.
