This year our AGM was held after morning service on Sunday 2nd April. The service and AGM were combined to launch our Church Development Project. This has now reached the stage at which we are commissioning detailed design plans, drawing up specifications and preparing tender documents, through our Architects and associated professionals led by the Ainsworth Spark Partnership. This is also the point at which we begin our fundraising initiatives. The first fundraising venture is our Gift Day being held on Wednesday 19th April 2006.
The AGM approved the Annual Report and the Treasurers Report for 2005. This year we were able to donate £4,443.00 in Charitable Disbursements, slightly less than in 2004.
It was very pleasing that six Elders stood for election, Four resting Elders returning and two of our members seeking ordination to Eldership. All six were elected with overwhelming support.
Our Elders’ Meeting is now :-
- Ann Anderson, Ann Birch, John Cant,
- Carol Gabriel, Ruth Holden, Shona Kerr,
- Betty MacFarlane, Willie MacFarlane, Marion McClurg,
- Norvil McClurg, Fred Milligan, Jean Ramsay,
- Eilidh Scott, Jan Shorthouse,
- Marion Thomson, Phil Wagstaff
We have not been so fortunate in members willing to serve on the Committee of Management. There were no members standing for election and so our Managers remain:-
- Sylvia Dobbie, Barbara Johnston,
- Robin Ramsay, Bill Riddell,
- Ian Wagstaff, Kevin Wareing,
- Stewart Blair (Church Treasurer)
Managers can be co-opted at any time, so please give prayerful thought as to whether you can serve our fellowship in this way.
