Another year, another party! On SUNDAY 8 JUNE from 2pm, families, the young and the not so young are all invited to Ponteland Park for an entertaining afternoon. This year, singing will be by the Darras First School choirs and the nationally successful PONGOS. Whistling Sheep will play traditional folk music. All are invited to join in the community hymn singing.
New, this year, is a tug-of-war between the cricket team and the rugby club and a dance group will be teaching people new steps. Lots of entertainment will be provided for the children. There will be a “Blue Bin” sculpture competition for the children. The popular Arts and Crafts tent features local people. The refreshment tent offers a variety of food and drink. The popular BBQ will be back - especially for the firemen! Many local organisations will have displays at the event.
The event is organised by Ponteland Churches Together and is sponsored by Newcastle International Airport supported by some fifty local businesses. Programmes will be distributed to all houses in Ponteland and admittance will be £1.50 at the gate. See you there!
