CHURCH MEETINGS
At our Quarterly Church Meeting in June, we received the audited accounts for 2004. Stewart, our treasurer, had circulated these well before the meeting and this was appreciated by those who had questions as these could be resolved before the meeting. The accounts were approved unanimously.
We reviewed our constitution regarding how we elect our elders and managers and the majority required for this. We approved a brief paper setting out these amendments, making election by 75% of the meeting a requirement for election and altering the time for which an elder may serve, though it will still usually be six years.
The meeting approved papers on Church Working Groups and Church Pastoral Visitors, brought by the elders meeting for consideration.
