Church Re-development Project January 10th Report
The work on obtaining information and preparing the many plans for planning approval is proceeding apace.
DESIGN TEAM
The full design team has now been appointed.
It is led by Bill Ainsworth of Ainsworth Spark Associates as The Architect.

He is supported by Walter Jonas of R. H. Duns as Quantity surveyors:

Anthony Davies of A.J. Davies as Structural engineer.
The Planning Supervisor that is required by the Health and safety executive is being provided by Ainsworth Spark.
WORK & DATES
- EXISTING BUILDING PLANS. Work is in hand to prepare fully detailed plans of the existing building. A bundle of plans found in the manse during refurbishment have proved to be a very useful source of information. This should be ready by the end of January
- SITE INVESTIGATION. Quotations are being obtained to carry out site investigations - boreholes and trial pits- at the end of January.
- ASBESTOS SURVEY. Similarly quotations for an asbestos survey are being sought to be carried out early in February.
- SCHEME DRAWINGS. The architect has started work on preparing preliminary discussion sketches. The initial sketch was issued on 10 January and development work of these initial ideas will produce an initial design with costs in mid February.
- ENERGY OPTIONS. The services engineer will provide a report on energy options by the end of January.
- GROUND CONDITIONS. The structural engineer should provide an initial appraisal of ground conditions by the beginning of February.
